Janet A. Diestelhorst, 87, Glidden

Janet A. Diestelhorst (Kicherer) age 87 of Glidden, died Wednesday, October 8 th , 2025, at Birch Hill Health Services in
Shawano, Wisconsin. She was born on December 21 st , 1937, in Peeksville, Wisconsin,
the daughter of Clinton and Marie Kicherer. On December 1 st , 1973, she married
Leonard Diestelhorst.
Janet worked as a certified home health care assistant for many years in Ashland
County, Wisconsin. She loved fishing, playing cards, drawing, painting, and traveling to
one of her favorite places, Branson, Missouri. She loved spending time with family &
friends. She especially enjoyed her favorite holiday, Christmas, by traveling around the
states delivering Christmas presents to her children, grand children and great
grandchildren.
She is survived by her eight children: Larry (Sue – dec’d) Robinson of New London, WI,
Wayne (Terry) Robinson of Weyauwega, WI, Linda (Randy) Edinger of Two Rivers, WI,
Lorraine (Chuck – dec’d) Butler of Wonder Lake, IL, Ben (Pam – dec’d) of Washburn,
WI, Randy Robinson of Park Falls, WI, Margaret Salerno of Glidden, WI, and Clinton
(Kari) Diestelhorst of Brookfield, WI. (17) grandchildren, (10) great grandchildren, (9)
siblings Lois (Harold – dec’d) Herbst, Shirley (Wayne – dec’d) Harris, Lorraine (Bob –
dec’d) Michel, Betty (Dan – dec’d) Kundinger, Dorothy (Toby) Poppens, Joyce (Butch)
Wallace, Clinton Kicherer, Jr, Jim (Julie – dec’d) Kicherer, Louie (Debbie) Kicherer, and
numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard of Glidden, her parents Clinton &
Marie Kicherer, and her sisters Ruth Michel and Kathy Carlson.
A memorial Service will be held at Birch Street Funeral Services Chapel on Saturday,
November 1 st , 2025, at 11:00am. Deacon Robert Schienebeck will officiate. A visitation
will be held at Birch Street Funeral Services Chapel on Saturday from 10:00am until the
time of the service.
Interment will take place privately at a later date.
