Traffic stop leads to multiple arrests in Township of Mineral Point

A traffic stop led to two people being arrested. An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Midway Road in the Township of Mineral Point around 5:00p Saturday night. As a result of the stop, the occupants of the vehicle, Shelby L Cody, age 29, and Renee L Spurley, age 41, were arrested.
Cody was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute or Manufacture Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, and Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place.
Spurley was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute or Manufacture Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.
