Waupun Man Killed in Dodge County Accident

RIPON, Wis. (WRPN)-Dodge County Sheriff’s official say a 62-year-old Waupun man was killed when his SUV ran into the back of a vehicle waiting for a passing train last night.
It happened about 6 pm on U.S. Highway 151, two miles south of State Highway 26 in the town of Chester. The SUV struck the back of an icehouse trailer attached to a pickup which then struck the back of a Chevy Suburban in front of it.
The Waupun man died at the scene. The 42-year-old Loyal, Wisconsin man driving the pickup and the 37-year-old Tampa, Florida man driving the Chevy Suburban and their occupants were not injured.
The investigation into the accident continues.
