Senator Tammy Baldwin endorses Judge Chris Taylor’s 2026 state Supreme Court bid

MADISON, Wis (CIVIC MEDIA) – Judge Chris Taylor’s 2026 campaign for the Wisconsin Supreme Court has been endorsed by Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin.

Judge Taylor first declared her bid for the state Supreme Court in late May, swiftly earning the support of the high court’s Democratic majority. Taylor soon after appeared on Civic Media’s “The Maggie Daun Show” for her first live interview since announcing her campaign, where she discussed her experience working in law and the challenges that lie ahead.

Senator Baldwin spoke highly of Judge Taylor’s values in a statement, saying that Taylor “has consistently stood up for Wisconsinites.”

“Judge Chris Taylor is exactly the kind of justice Wisconsin needs on our Supreme Court – fair, impartial, and committed to making sure the law protects the rights and freedoms of everyone,” said Senator Tammy Baldwin. “Throughout her career as an attorney, public servant, and judge, Chris Taylor has consistently stood up for Wisconsinites when their fundamental rights have been on the line. She has earned a reputation for ensuring everyone in the courtroom is listened to, respected, and is able to access the justice they deserve. This is a critical opportunity to reinforce a pro-freedom, pro-democracy majority on the court, and I’m proud to support Judge Chris Taylor in this race.”

In her own statement, Judge Taylor expressed her gratitude for Senator Baldwin’s endorsement.
