MILWAUKEE, Wis (CIVIC MEDIA) – A Milwaukee grand jury charged two men with smuggling sensitive U.S. military technology, including drones and missiles.

Details on the indictments come from a U.S. Department of Judgement news release, revealing that a Los Angeles court as well as the Milwaukee court issued indictments against the men. 43-year-old Cui Guanghai of China and 63-year-old John Miller of the United Kingdom are charged with conspiracy, smuggling, and violations of the Arms Export Control Act by the Milwaukee grand jury, and interstate stalking and conspiracy to commit interstate stalking by the Los Angeles jury.

If convicted, Miller and Cui could face up to 40 years in prison. The two perpetrators will be extradited to Serbia as the FBI continues their investigation.

According to Milwaukee court documents, the two foreign nationals began an operation that aimed to seize U.S. defense technology, including missiles, drones, air defense radar, and cryptographic devices, and send them to China. Miller and Cui discussed with individuals, whose identities are undisclosed, different methods of concealing the cryptographic device, including hiding the device in a blender.
